What is a driver monitoring system?
Driver monitoring systems do exactly what their name implies: they use driver-facing cameras in vehicle cabs to monitor driver behaviour.

These systems detect signs of fatigue, distraction, and phone usage, providing immediate audible alerts to drivers when such behaviours are detected.

Stand Alone Camera
When used as a stand alone camera, only the driver will hear and see the warnings. The camera will not record video footage of the driver.
Integrated into our MDVR Camera System
The driver will hear and see the warnings the same way as the stand alone option. We connect the camera to a port on the MDVR, which will then record the driver and their actions onto the SSD.

If set up in the notifications settings, the fleet manager can be alerted of any driver behaviour warnings on the Fleet Witness PC software.
​
Alternatively you have the option to preview the camera recordings in the same way as any other cameras connected to the MDVR, view and download the video footage you require, and save it to your PC.
