Canbus Connected Tracker

Main Features

Same features as the track & trace tracker but with Canbus connection usually via the vehicles OBD port.

Live Fuel Levels

Monitor live fuel tank levels from your PC. At a glance you can see the exact amount of fuel in each vehicle. Note, not suitable for all vehicles.

True ODO (Mileage) Readings

With Connected Care you will see true ODO readings taken from the vehicle's ECU and then shown on the tracker system and reports.

Without Connected Care the ODO readings (like all other tracker companies) relay on the ODO reading being taken from the GPS from the tracker unit inside a vehicle, which is not always accurate and can be out by +-5%

Diagnostic Trouble Codes

The tracker system can display engine fault codes and by pro-actively acting to to these you can save money and expensive downtime from a vehicle not having to be off the road. Diagnostic trouble code diagnose issues are read by the tracker device, the fault codes are then shown on the tracker software. DTCs or engine fault codes help pinpoint where and what problems exist within the vehicle.

Driver ID

Dallas Key Reader Receptical
Fleet Tracker Dallas key reader

Driver ID records a driver's name against a journey made in any vehicle with the driver ID kit installed. The driver's name is shown on the Live track so you can see who is driving a vehicle at that moment in time and also appears on reports.

How it works

Each Dallas key has its own unique code, a driver's name is assigned to a specific Dallas key number. When a driver switches a vehicle ignition on, they will hear a buzzing noise which reminds them to present the Dallas key to the reader/receptacle, this is usually located on or by the dashboard near to the driver, when the Dallas key is presented, the buzzer will then stop sounding.

Options

Dallas Key Reader) with 1 Dallas key                                                              For recording a driver name for all journeys made.

Dallas Key Reader, 1 x Dallas Key with a Push Button

For recording a driver name for all journeys made with a push button for selecting between business & personal mileage logging.

Dallas Key Reader, 1 x Dallas key with a Panic Button

For logging panic events onto the tracker system. The Dallas key will log all journey types in the usual way, if the panic button is pressed while the vehicle ignition is switched on the tracker system will log a panic event on the reports and can be set so it automatically sends an email or onscreen alert to a PC user.
